Tall fesque

Festuca arundinacea

Tall fescue is a suitable green manure for undersowing in cereals and maize. Because its initial development is slow, it normally does not compete with the main crop. Thanks to its deep rooting system (1–3 metres), it is also highly tolerant to drought and an excellent soil improver.

It can be sown at the same time as the maize, or overseeded in early spring.

Available variety: TEMPLE (lawn type).
