Radish

Radish

(Raphanus sativus)

Radish is a cruciferous green manure that grows 80cm to 110cm high.

Radish is generally sown in the second half of August, but springtime sowing is also possible. Thanks to the rapid development and good soil coverage, weeds are well suppressed. After the first winter frost, radish can easily be plowed under. Radish is an excellent trap crop for combating
nematodes.
